Description
Hey! I was browsing deviantART and got the sudden inspiration of digging through my own drawings. So I uncovered this. I drew this on a train... at least I started it on a train, if I remember correctly.I read a book called Runemarks by Joanne Harris some time ago. It was a somewhat interesting book that used old Scandinavian mythology as inspiration, and it acquainted me with the Norse mythology version of the ruler of the dead: Hel. In the book, she was described as a woman, whose other half of the body was young and beautiful, and the other dead and rotting. And she could control the life and death of the people by cutting their strings to life or something; I don't remember it that well anymore. I do remember that I found her an interesting character.
So, this is basically what I think she might have looked like. No, I had no reference for the skeleton hand so it's most likely not even close to anatomically correct. And looking back to this now I see many other anatomical errors too, but hey, that's normal for me...
Cheers.
