Hello! Those who have read my profile or even better really know me should also know that in my opinion, Scrooge McDuck is the best comic/cartoon character ever.

I've been very hesitant to actually draw much of the Disney's ducks, as much as I love them. I've been afraid to try in fear of screwing things up. However, a friend of mine encouraged me to get over my fear so here it is: Scrooge McDuck in his prime. For the nerds: the year is 1897 in this.

I love Scrooge no matter what the age, but with the thirty-year-old Scrooge I could also paint some snowy landscapes of Yukon (uh... a cartoonish version at least). It's spring in the picture, just like it is here where I am. Our spring is not that glorious, though... yet.

Done mainly with watercolours but used some markers and oil pastels as well. I took some reference from Don Rosa's wonderful, wonderful "Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck". Let us all send our loving thanks to Rosa.
