Description
So this is my first fanart... I finally got around to drawing this zutara picture after wanting to for awhile.

I can't really draw things from my imagination like so many of the really good artists here on da so my inspiration came from looking at avatar screen shots. Katara's pose is from the "Return to Omashu" episode when she's fighting Tai Ly and Mai. Zuko's head was from "Tales of Ba Sing Se" when he's looking at Jin. I had to draw his body without looking at anythingcause I couldn't find any poses I liked to fit in with the picture...so sorry if it looks a little off! I'm also really bad at drawing hands and arms.

So this picture doesn't really have a story behind it...obviously its Katara and Zuko getting ready to fight, side by side of course. They get surrounded by enemies (which is why they're both looking off in different directions) and Zuko instinctively pulls her closer...so yes that is his right hand on her waist...I'm REALLy bad at drawing hands so it looks really ugly but I'll fix that later.

overall i like the way zuko came out...i would like the way katara came out better if she didn't look cross eyed...oh well my fault lol

I hope you enjoy, leave lots of comments so I know what to change in the future, don't be afraid to be mean as long as its constructive. Oh yeah and I do plan to give it to my friend to color so sorry for the plainess for now.

EDIT: pointed out that zuko's hand is in an awkward place *coughwhereherboobsaresupposedtobecough* (lol) which I would never have noticed so thank you! I will make sure to fix that as soon as i can...its just that i drew this one on cheapo paper that fuzzes up when u erase so i hate having to erase things on this picture...sighhh
