Description
Something I noticed when watching the river scene where the Lorax revive the Onceler: there was a lot of tongue.Yeah, I don't think the Lorax knows how CPR works...
Another thing I finally noticed, The Lorax killed The Onceler! The Onceler stated that he was going into the light, he was an ex-person for one minute of the film! We're supposed to be rooting for this little furball??

lol, yeah, I noticed a few more "risque-looking things" they got away with. I can't wait for the DVD to come out so I can get a screencap of my favorite and most overlooked part

I hope so! It would be awesome to have some commentary, especially deleted scenes! I know they deleted a few on Oncies songs, such a shame

yeah, I finally heard some of the cut songs! it sounds like they were originally going for something big like an off-Broadway-like production! (in fact, why not recycle the movie into an off-Broadway production!) or maybe, as assumed by Biggering, something a little dark and serious to its tone

That would be awesome, I can see this being a Broadway show I think it would be a hit, just need a few more songs to fill it up
The movie was to short, they should have kept the songs!

I don't think it was too short, but I think there was a hole or two in the plot that needed filling, as well as some good moments that should not have been underplayed. along with a few tiny things that fangirls would like explained (albeit it's a LONG LIST) they have plenty to work with to make it longer, as well as writing more songs

I noticed a lot of holes to. I really hate the time gaps in the entire movie They missed out on a lot on Oncies transition from innocent to greedy, then skipped right to when Greed was in power.
I wish they had more scenes with Oncie and The Lorax(and animals) those are my favorite parts.
not sure if I would want everything explained, best thing about fandoms is when it is open to all different theory's and pairings, nothing is canon XD

yeah, I noticed that! the pacing was okay in the movie, then suddenly the Onceler sings "How Bad Can I Be?" and the pacing speeds up. I mean, what the hell?
as well as seeing the Onceler's progression into greed (I mean, he slowly realized cutting down trees was wrong before the money, how did that part of him feel after he got rich?) I'd also like to have them go close to the book and have the animals leave a little at a time, it woulda added more drama to the story
speaking of going close to the book, the Lorax was the Seuss movie adaptation with the LEAST amount of rhyme in it (and songs don't count!) I mean, five minutes into the film I was hearing the book in the dialogue, then ten minutes in I'm like "Where'd it go?"

it was an accident, and there was no romance involved

Lorax learned a lesson... when floating someone's bed down the river, make sure it's occupant can swim!

I think his lesson is to try something a little less drastic to get someone out of the valley, or at the very least remember that the river ends at a waterfall

Oh, now that you mention it...O.o It looks like it.
(watchs clip) Yeah, you are right.
---and if The Lorax killed The Once-ler there, the whole not doing a thing to stop him later seems pointless. Just saying.

yeah, if the Onceler ended up dying, it woulda been a sadder, shorter movie

sofjadelly In reply to blucille [2012-05-15 20:21:10 +0000 UTC]
There would be no movie then.-think about it, no Onceler, no chopping down trees, no wasteland, no Thneedville, no reason for go on searching for a tree as if they were something rare, and no narrator to introduce the audience to his story.
Or it could be the very short the cautionary tale of the Lorax or you respect nature or the Lorax drowns you in the river--

yeah, like I said, shorter and sadder, cause he'd be dead and there'd be no more story
LOL yeah, maybe the Lorax drowning version was the shorter version of the story

I love his expression at the bottom half.
Pipsqueak is all: "Is he dead?"
And Wee-Runt (Pip's twin brother on the left) is like: "Are you suppose to do that?"

I love both expressions, really. I especially love the Onceler's mussy hair
and when the Onceler wakes up he'll be all "You saved my life!! why do I taste mustache and shame?"
