I draw them as pages from a book, so I'm something of an art diarist. If anything though, now and again I'll do these as album/single covers to the music I like to listen to.

Heheh, cheers! Perhaps, my own interpretation of this though is that here we have a symbol of reaching out for the better things in life. Other than that, it's as ambiguous as all my work usually is.
By the way, did I ever tell you about the album "Voyage of the Acolyte" by Steve Hackett? Been listening to a lot of his stuff as of late, and that aforementioned album is loosely about the Major Arcana tarot deck. Well worth a listen... [link]

One of the reasons Genesis went all pop on us in the 1980s was because Hackett left to pursue his own projects, plus he knew quite early on where they were headed. Take a look at these two tracks for example. Here's a bit of S.H. after he left Genesis...[link]

Both good songs, though it's safe to say the styles were cut pretty clearly down the middle at this point.

Genesis lost a great deal when Steve left the band, but he does what does beautifully from the this day to the next and any sort of commercialization in his work wouldn't work at all. In addition to being a top-notch guitarist his lyrics and skills as a story-teller are genius too. Here's a Hackett-penned Genesis song that stands out as one of my favourites: [link]
