Description
I can't make up my mindWhen it's made up for me
My system's in decline
Embracing entropy
I wasted so much mobile data while travelling to Great Britain My phone has 5 Gt available to use every month, but it's not much if you watch youtube-videos like I did. I watched Stan Prokopenko's (Proko) tutorials , like Ralaka suggested me earlier, and my mind was literally blown
I'm happy to have learned so much new stuff. It takes quite some time to apply the advice to actual practice though. And I have to prioritize what I'm trying to learn, since I don't have all time in the world
I had a sketch when starting with this project but the outcome was quite different what I expected. I don't consciously think much (?) when I'm in a process of drawing, so I may add things extempore. This time I added those white lines and such to indicate Connor's "Mind Palace". I tried to desaturate the lines so they won't steal attention too much. The white window concerned me, but I didn't want to "ruin" the only source of light. That's why I left it plain.
I invented a new species of canines. Has anyone else created a dog as ugly as mine? After that I tried to draw wood grain on the walls...and it looks like some alien font instead
Lesson learned: Do NOT break in through a window equipped with Venetian blind

EDIT: In previous version I accidentally left one paint layer hidden in Krita and didn't notice until now... my drawing lacked some essential features because of that.

I'm glad you liked the tutorials I recommended! They are seriously incredible, especially considering that it's all free!
I also think you did a good job with the white lines you mentioned. I really like where they are right now, still noticeable, but faded enough that it's not too distracting, it was smart to tone down the saturation. I also love the little details such as the cord from the window tied to Connor's foot and the 9 on the wall. One thing that really stands out to me is the color choice. It's really interesting how everything is a blue gray color. It give the entire drawing kind of an eerie feeling. I'm not sure if that's what you were going for, but I really like it! Also.... that dog..... *shiver* What ever happened to Sumo?
As for the grain on the walls, I like the way it looks, but if you want it to look more like wood, I would recommend making all of the lines go in one direction. There can be curves, bends, and spots along the way, but the grain of wood all flows vertically. Adding more vertical lines might help to achieve that wood texture you were going for.
As for proportions, I think you made Hank too tall, comparing his body to the window, he looks abnormally big. This could just be me though, some windows happen to be lower.
All in all, great work as always! I do think that the proportions of the faces are a bit off, but you did a fantastic job with the lighting. It really feels like it's coming through the window. Keep up the amazing work!

Thank you! My intention with the canine was to have him act more like an actual guard dog. Sumo, as you remember him, is too kind for his own good
