hmmm i don't know what exactly is he suppose to be looking at
But i can feel the mood this photo is giving me. Its gives me a scared feeling like as if something is going to pop up behind the fences.
But maybe next time you can give a little information about your artwork so that viewers can know why you would take the image. please and thank you

I love this, it's so creepy.
To me, I interpret it as someone waking up in the middle of the night and finding all the lights on, then going outside to find this man (do they know him? who knows) and he creepily turns around..

This is a really cool photo. I love th imperfections and the over done lighting. It just makes everything so creepie and unreal. I really hated that people who didn't like it bashed it just because it was different. Art isn't perfect because people aren't perfect and those querks are what make art beautiful.

...erm, whenever I see a long white shirt and blue jeans, I can't help but think of L (from Death Note)... combine that with white hair, and what I see in this photo is Near posing as his adoptive brother to do something both scary and, likely as not, illegal. O_o
that's just because I'm obsessed with anime, though. xD
seriously, though, that is some INTENSE lighting. I love the shadows. o__o *is mesmerized*

the light creates a very peculiar mood, it's not a question of details or illusion. the light and position of the figure makes it look special.

im with you on this one...all i see is some guy standing there. like i could just put my grandpa on the lawn and shine a spotlight on him and itd look similar to this. i see very little of 'special' in this... :l

I've looked at this piece many times now and it always makes me think of David Lynch. Don't know if you're familiar with his works, if not you should totally check him out.

Hmm. This is actually great. I was going to skip over it but I've ended up looking at it for a while. Nice demonstration that art doesn't have to be immediately aesthetically pleasing to be worthwhile. Well-deserved DD, it's nice to see something different being showcased.

People really missed the point of this picture. It's not SUPPOSED to look like a perfectly lighted, polished, studio photograph. What creates the eerie, surreal, and almost menacing effect is that you feel (or I do, at least) that this picture is 'real'. I think it's very well done, and very atmospheric. Good job, you couldn't have deserved a DD more.

I see where you're going with your film noir concept... You should try this shot in black and white, maybe play with the curves a little in Photoshop. That would really portray the noir aspect of it.
