Spitfire is 23" tall to the top of her mane. She's made from Minky, and has a swivel neck. The lighter orange shade in her mane and tail is mango minky dyed with a special soft paint, because I didn't like how yellow the mango color looked. The lenses of the goggles are minky that I painted. I don't know why to goggles look too big (I mean, yeah, they're too big--that's why), because I used the same patterns as I did for Fleetfoot. The vicissitudes of working with fabric, I guess.Spitfire is sold.

How you paint ? Usually paint turns hard or runs when wet?

It's a special type of paint that is made for synthetic fabrics. The painted minky is not quite as soft, but almost so. It's heat set for more permanence.

It's a little tricky to work with. It's very thin, so the paint will spread easily--sometimes too easily if it bleeds into places you didn't want it to go. Also, it takes a lot to soak into the nap of the minky, and sometimes the color will look uneven. The less paint used, the softer the fabric, but that's hard to do and get even coverage at the same time. For best results, it should probably be applied with an airbrush, but I haven't had the money to invest in one yet.
