Description
Woot! I can finally post this: it was part of an anonymous calendar contest over at ConceptArt. But now all the judging is finished and the artists have been revealed. Anyway, I'm a little happier with the linework than the colors (as usual), but it didn't turn out so badAs for people asking about a print: I can't make a print of this because it will be part of a printed calendar to benefit ConceptArt.org - I'll put a note in my journal when it gets released and how to purchase, if you're still interested. In the meantime, check out all the other awesome entries here: [link]

this is sooo powerful! feminine, yet deadly. i like the peahen in the tree, pining for her lost mate, and the 3 satisfied wolves, resting with their mistress. kinda like a mediteranian "diana of the hunt"... very nice composition!

Wonderful, just wonderful. One (small) thing, though - I would have liked to see the human figure of Indian descent. But that's just my personal opinion.

Wow... I just found a long needed muse in this. Sometimes you find a piece of art that truly calls up some deep desires -inspires the love you have for art- It makes you want to push yourself harder, to try to reach that level of beauty, the kind of art you almost forgot how much you loved, and reminds you that you haven't really been doing enough, trying enough, to get there. I put this up there with my favorites; Rackham, Mucha, the Wyeth's, Amano, Kaluta, etc... I'm just awed. (..Why don't I go back to the roots of what I love?! I've been drawing all this cartoony stuff) It's pointless for me to even try to say what it is about it that I like because I'd end up with an essay. Style, colors, lines, content; everything.
Even going back and looking at your work- you have an amazing gallery and your older stuff is spectacular; but it's seems like it's just grown into something so "professional" (-for lack of a better word) even more unique, and truly classic looking -in not a horribly long period of time.
I must sound really retarded. I don't usually talk like this. I'm sorry if it's awkward.
I understand about the benefit to conceptart.org- but maybe, after the year is over and the calendar is kind of moot, do you think you might eventually offer a print? No need to bother with that question. It's just that: even if I buy the calendar I would love to have a bigger image of this someday; at least than the calendar probably would have. It would be the first DA print I purchased :3 If you had posters made I'd buy 'em off ebay even- then you could donate the money to whoever (that's not really the point though, I know. -Sorry! I ramble)

Insanely brilliant. The linework is flawless but I do think the colors are completely engaging - it makes me excited about Autumn, you've captured the season very well - it looks cool and brisk.

Gorgeous, in every aspect...colour, line, and composition. End of Summer is very sad for me so this piece really expresses that feeling. I love the way you have the living peahen watching over her deceiced mate...while the hunting party settles in for a rest oblivious to her presence...

Rich colors, very cold and autumny but still with that little tint of sun left hanging about. Beautiful line-art, and characters.

Holy sweet glorious wow. This is just right dang beautiful. I love how organic your line quality feels. I'm getting a real Princess Mononoke vibe from this but I'm thinking it just reinforces the piece more than anything. Beautiful work.

I just love the way this reminds me of some of the hunting paintings of the old masters. The colorchoice is great, with the green and blue of the dead peacock being pretty much the only bright colors. This really is stunning, and I run a real risk of raving another paragraph about it.
