Woot! I can finally post this: it was part of an anonymous calendar contest over at ConceptArt. But now all the judging is finished and the artists have been revealed. Anyway, I'm a little happier with the linework than the colors (as usual), but it didn't turn out so bad
No peacocks were harmed in the making of this pic... My assigned season was fall so I wanted to do something that represented the 'death' of summer. Or something.As for people asking about a print: I can't make a print of this because it will be part of a printed calendar to benefit ConceptArt.org - I'll put a note in my journal when it gets released and how to purchase, if you're still interested. i don't mind the colors at all. in fact, they give it a painterly/watercolor aesthetic that's more genuine to me...and the hue & tone really suit the season.

Poor peacock. But it is a very lovely picture! I love the contrast of the peacocks feathers with the warm colors of the rest of the image.
