Description I got a lot of help on this one from the good people at ConceptArt.org. So anything good in it is due to them Coloring (on the octopus, anyway) was inspired by Klimt.

this is gorgeous. the colors are perfect, and i can definitely see the klimt influence in the octopus arms. i love all the details in this, especially in those fish and in the man's face. also, red noses are cute really lovely work!

this is beautiful!
i love the coloring, which is a rare thing for me to like about a piece of art. i usually like a restricted pallet, but you really really know your colors! and the composition is wonderful.
im a big fan of klimt as well, and the style really shows.

omg the tentacles are so amazing. i love the texture of the piece, and the colours really complement each other. the colouring is also very bold and oily looking, it makes me think of acrylics or oil pastels. great work!

Very nice... I love the details on the fish, and how the bright patterns on the octopus stand out against the darkness of the waters.

remind me of jack perlutsky. in a good way. and the little highlight on his nose is an interesting way of illustrating his pale skin. me gusta mucho!

what i like most about your pictures is the colours you choose!
but the guy somehow looks like he was still outside the water. maybe it would rather look like underwater if he was upside down or in another non-gravitational pose.

but I'm always looking forward to another new picture from you!

Klimt he was a genius for me ^^ and if he had ever painted an octopus it would have surely look like this one

You've made an excellent piece of art, congratulations

You have used Photoshop or sth different? I'm asking because I want to check how it is to make digital arts and I'm looking for the best programme for this

So anything good in it is due to them

well, that might be giving them a little too much credit.

the gradient in the water and the detail of the fish is almost overwhelming. it's very surreal. he's listless, like he's either a: already dead or b: just too tired and is giving up.

It's interesting, the patterning on the octopus definitely reminds me of Klimt, but the symoblist premise elsewhere is nicely executed.
