Description
My contest entry for 's Relativity contest [link] atOvercast and Relativity belong to =mirz-alt
This is her portrayal of Overcast.
Apparently, Overcast's efforts to conceal his identity do not hinder his ability to fight crime in Gale City.
I am quite certain that he would rather not have people pointing at him though...
This is my first time attempting retro art.
I looked to Teddy Newton's The Jumper [link] for inspiration.
100% ballpoint pen!!!

Congrats on placing fourth. I have to tell you, I really just love the uniqueness of this piece. It's a great entry and I think it deserved to place. Of course, it was also cool you chose Ravenswood/Overcast, when the majority of the entries seemed focused around Dark Flame.
We'll be contacting you soon about your prizes.

Wikipedia: Retro Art
The style now called "retro art" is a genre of pop art which was developed in the 1940s and 1950s in response to a need for bold, eye-catching graphics that were easy to reproduce on simple presses available at the time in major centres. This is one of the best examples of retro art I have found on dA

Usually retro art is big, bold, and utilizes color for effective impact.
