I've been through that... I'm still going through that... Eventually it all works out. The hard part is the waiting.
Every time someone told me "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" I wanted to ask if they'd ever been through it... Or hell, if they'd gone through it for six years.
But they were right. The hurt is there because you love them. You miss them and it breaks your heart because you ache for them and hunger for them. Because of your love for them, you feel the NEED for them.
And in that light, even the hurt is wonderful, because it's the hurt of love.
Hang in there. It only gets better... But the better part always comes later.

I think you perfectly captured the feeling all of us who have this kind of relationship go through when that special person has to leave. I have a wonderful friend of the family, her boyfriend is from Switzerland. He had to go back and she missed him deeply, he also cared the same for her, so he returned after a while and now they have been happily married for years!

I've never had one love in my life, but I know how hard it is for someone that close to you to go far away. My dad. But, it's not about me or him. It's about you, and I gotta say this. Hang in there. Recently, one o fmy closest friends moved away, and now all of us are lonely and cold to each other. We miss her saying, "KINKY!!" at the top of her lungs in the middle of lunch.

It's beautiful. And I wish I could do more than just type in messages (and reply to random people with jokes in the hope of getting a smile out of you), but the best I can say is that if you ever want to rant, I'm still open for notes ^^ Even if it's just to shout at somebody, I'm a ready target for that too
