I can respect people not liking the animal centric designs for the RiD Decepticons, but the thing that annoys me is when people say a Transformer can only be a humanoid robot that can only change into a vehicle or a beast. Like some sorta weird TRUKK NO TURN INTO MUNKY thing.

Which strikes me as bizarre and a tad ignorant because the original G1 toyline had a few examples of robot animals turning into non humanoid things. Like most of Blaster and Soundwave's cassettes, heck a couple of cassettes had a really quirky concept where they changed from tapes to a jet and a tank. No robot inbetween, Combiner form aside. Or for that matter Six Changers like Sixshot and Gigatron having multiple Beast Modes mixed in with Vehicle Modes.

I just... don't get this mindset.

Still, one thing I thought would be neat to see would be more Autobots with a Beast Mode of some some like the Alchemor prisoners besides Grimlock. The IDW comics sort of did this by having an Autobot spy that had a Doberman like Robot Mode, so I thought it'd be cool to see more. As well as be sort of defiant to this mindset of no "beast to car" thing.

The most random thing I thought of was a giraffe to a microscope, though perhaps I should've gone with a traditional giraffe over an anthropomorphic one .

I didn't have much of a personality in mind when I sketched this guy. I just know he'd be a scientist, and despite not being much for combat, his microscope does double as a rudimentary tank for self defense.
