I asked a friend of mine on here if they would like me to do a tut on grass. Here it is
I hope this is easy to get. Some things I say may seem obvious, but I think we tend to overlook something or not actually think about it.
Not much was needed to be explained here
any questions feel free to ask
Paint is intimidating to many people. Don't let it be! Pretend you're drawing on paper.

I don't think I mentioned it here or elsewhere, but another idea is to copy and save the bases, so you can play with the colors and lighting for other pictures

how do you people work on microsoft paint for so long? I really wish I was patient with art. -.-

I first started using it about 6-7 years ago, mostly because I liked the fact that it was easy to color. Then I started using it's tools more and liked experimenting...I didn't know about photoshop or any other digital program, and I barely used the Internet so I didn't know about Deviantart where it would have been easy to be introduced to that. I spent maybe an hour making paint pictures for a while...then slowly spent longer because I loved it so much ^^

I don't understand how you bend things on MS paint, do you just add some colour kind of in between the colour?

Bend things? Hmm...did you try the curve tool? It's right beneath the letter A

Oh, I just take the paint brush and draw the lines of where I'm going to fill in the shadow/highlight, then fill it in with the paint bucket. Then I'll do the same thing on the inside of that
