It's Sylvia's 4th birthday today, so I decided to finally update her ref sheet! It's been long enough ^^ Happy Valentine's Day!

EDIT 3/31/18: Fixed several issues with the ref sheet that were nagging at me and improved the first pose, you can see all of her hair now! Also updated the bio!

Sylvia is a shiny female Gardevoir born on February 14th, 2014. The date of her birth is no coincidence as she embodies all of the emotions of Valentine’s Day: affection, loyalty, empathy, and love. Her carefree attitude and love of life lets her enjoy simple things like silly jokes or goofing off with her best friend, Violet. Don’t let her carefree personality fool you though; when the situation calls for it, she’s more than capable of assuming a more serious, mature role and tackling problems head-on.

Physically, Sylvia isn’t very different from the average canon Gardevoir although she stands a bit taller than most at 5’6” and her small breasts emphasize her feminine form. Sylvia’s heart crystal is small but rendered more sensitive as a result of its diminutive size, allowing Sylvia to easily embrace the ones she loves and draw them as close to her as she can. Despite her petite size she is quite powerful both physically and mentally – although she prefers to avoid using her full strength since she fears making those she loves afraid of her.

In public, her modest nature takes the lead and she comes off as innocent and reserved, but at home her true colors show as she becomes a ruthless and playful tease. Although Sylvia can communicate fluently both vocally and telepathically, she alternates based on who she’s conversing with and generally reserves telepathy to only those she’s truly close to. She generally speaks in a formal and soothing fashion, coming off as a comforting and conversational person. Her confidence and brazen will give her the qualities of a strong leader, even if she occasionally bites off more than she can chew.

In general, few things bring Sylvia more joy in life than her friends and loved ones. Whether she’s playing videogames, cooking and baking, eating junk food, drawing, sewing, or cuddling in bed, she’s always at her happiest with those she loves – Violet, Nieve, Azura, Vivian, and other friends often keep her company.

In particular, Sylvia finds a lot of comfort in her soulmate Violet, who she’s been close to for the majority of her life. Having known Vi since her childhood, the two quickly formed an intimate and unbreakable bond, finding true solace in each other’s company through the comfort and pleasure only another Gardevoir can provide. Serving as Violet’s loving mentor - by virtue of being older and more mature than her - and best friend, Sylvia is always there to guide her through life and teach her new things – although Sylvia learns quite a lot from Violet as well. Sylvia is responsible for designing Violet’s “flower” dress and she continues to treasure it to this day.

Without a doubt, Sylvia’s most defining feature is her black dress. The comfortable, flowing outfit is one of her most cherished possessions, having been designed by her husband and given to her as a gift when she evolved from a Kirlia. While she has other outfits that she wears from time to time - and her favorite shirt which she slips into as evening wear- the black dress she dons every morning is symbolically “Sylvia”.

Sylvia currently lives with Violet and Nieve as her roommates. Together with her soulmate, the two provide the comfortable and loving atmosphere their friend needs.
