Description This beautiful fellow was also mounted by Shep Brown, the taxidermist who mounted my bearded dragon for me.

Custom base, carcass cast for form, custom glass eyes, whole shebang. She's very lovely, I have her sitting on the shelf by the bearded dragon and it looks like she's trying to slither off the branch to reach the dragon.

Being a carcass cast, she's pretty heavy! But that just means she's less likely to topple on over.

Please note: This reptile died of natural causes. Rather then letting her death be in vain and go to waste, she was immortalized as you see her now. I didn't kill her, nor was she killed for me or the purpose of taxidermy. Please keep your comments tasteful. If you haven't anything polite to say, please keep it to yourself.

I'm hung up on how abnormal the head and face shape are o_o

It's a very small, juvenile snake (head is only about 2 inches in length) so it's bound to be a little off, only so much a person can do with something so small.

True. Just as a snake lover the lack of the characteristic shape really ruins the piece (for me)

This is gorgeous! I have a (live) ball python myself and this looks very very realistic! I have two balls (lol) in the freezer too, wanna mount them but not even sure what to make the body from D:

Carcass casting can be done a number of ways, the most popular being making a mold of the carcass itself, and cast it out of expanding rigid foam
