Description Weapon/Accessory for a character I'm modeling. The hammer, the grip, the chamber, and the barrel are seperate parented objects in the event I decide to do reload animations.

The barrel seems a bit big, but other than that it looks awesome.

Hey, It's looking good. Do you know how to use normal maps? Its how games get their awesome detailed look with low poly models.

Yes. This revolver has a normal map. It mostly makes up the indentation in the grip, and the subtle notches and grain in the metal to give it worn feel.

1) Great textures! You're really getting mighty good!
2) I'd love to see you work at a higher res! Hell, by the ways you texture I'm sure you could make some killer displacement maps!
3) The inside of the barrel. Wouldn't there be a spiral threading? Just curious

Yeah, I'm trying to ease into higher res with each new model. It's just hard to shake the notion from school to use less polys.

HAH! Killing detail was something I just couldn't do. Sides, lol, any platform can handle a good amount of poly's now anywho. Currently the game we're making can support mods w/ 3.mil faces The trick, though, is making sure with all that new detail is how to manipulate it to look right XD That's the killer... stupid overlapping geo

Yeah, I know next gen has higher capacity.
Anyways, the model is still in the works, so maybe I'll go back in and sculpt more detail. Thanks man. Always appreciate the input.
