It was a hot day in July, Alex Johnson was getting everything ready for his big show. Alex just moved from Montana to Kelowna BC, to join his brother at BlueSpruceRanch. When he learned there was cattle, he booked the first plane ride out. Alex had been showing cattle since he was a young boy. When he met Phantom, it was like a match made in heaven.

Today was the day, Phantom and Alex had been preparing for this day for months. He loaded him onto the trailer and headed down to the show. It took roughly 12 hours to drive there and Phantom was a champ during the whole trip. Once arrived he unloaded and watered him. They got into position and waited for their turn to show.

When the judges called fort hem, Alex could feel his heart pumping in his chest so fast, he thought it would burst out. He lead Phantom to the stand and stood with him. Phantom stood there soundly, he let Alex lead him and get him in the proper standing position. Alex watched as the judges looked over Phantom, whispering to each other and taking notes. They set them free once they were done. Alex knew that if they did not place, that they would be okay. Either way he was very proud of his bull.
