Story:

Under the cover of darkness, a roan mare trudged deeper into the forest. She might have lost the race to see who would venture further into the island, but there was no way she would disappoint her father that way. He would have wanted her to go anyways and face whatever dangers there were. It didn't help that she was quite stubborn when it came to the things she wanted. Bird let out a snort, lashing her tail. The trees loomed over her, blocking what little sunlight there would be. Her legs were sore from running, but Bird wasn't going to let that slow her down. The Ranger picked up the pace, following the hoof prints of the other loners that had already left. Her ears swiveled back and forth to catch any sounds in the woods around her. Her muscles were tense, and her heart hammered in her chest. She'd never openly disobeyed someone like this before especially not Ba'yagu. The witch had wanted the losers to stay behind for them to be 'safe'. "As if. I'd rather be out here than moping around on the beach," she grumbled to herself, shaking out her long mane. The forest was eerily quiet, and each of her hoof steps sounded like thunder to her ears. Bird let out a steady sigh. This was probably a bad idea, but she had to prove herself. Prove to the witch that she was strong enough to be out here with them, and prove to herself that she wasn't some spineless mare that needed others for protection. "No. I'm a Ranger. I'm bound to protect and defend the ones around me, not the other way around. I have to do this!" She said, trekking through trees at a slightly faster pace.

I finally got this done. *flops on the ground* I'm actually pretty happy with it, though the trees are kind of funky. XD I think I should have added more of them or something, but oh well. You live and learn. c:

So Bird decides to follow after the other loners and the witch further into the island though she didn't win the race. Bird is quite stubborn especially when she thinks she has to prove herself. If anyone wants to RP for the next phase, let me know. I'd love to RP. c:
