The way I see it there are two Plum Puddings, The boy left because he decided to go to another city and the girl who also happened to be a Plum Pudding came in shortly after he left and took his spot although she was a bit more dangerous.

From what I heard, they changed Plum Puddin' into a girl because of money. Some Huckleberry Pie dolls didn't sell well, so...yeah.

and I agree, it does get a bit over crouded with all the girls around and I never understood why they changed his gender, inbetween episodes no less!

I'm glad to know I'm not the only person who feels that way. I've actually thought about writing a fanfic that ties Strawberry Shortcake in with some other franchises, mostly based on the 2003 series (since it's longer and has more character development), but one thing I was thinking of changing in the canon would be that Plum Pudding would still be a boy. In my eyes, he's always been a boy, and always will be. But anyway, no worries about taking a few days to reply, and you're very welcome.
