Description
Sequel to this: www.deviantart.com/blysk/art/Sā¦
Cake doesn't cut it anymore, he's not fulfilled until he's parenting someone.
Eesh. For like 8 seasons they struggled to come up with a personality for Cole. Kai was a hothead, Jay was funny and panicky, Lloyd was infinitely hopeful and big-hearted, etc. But Cole? He spent some time being serious, he spent some time being a gluttonous goofball, he spent some time as a ghost with the associated angst. But one single personality? Hard to pin that one down.
But now it looks like they've finally hit on one. He's a compulsive nurturer. He will parent anything that moves.
And I love it.
(Even more so because his own father was demanding, emotionally unavailable, and/or flat-out absent for the majority of Cole's life. He's making sure others have what he never had himself. Bless his tiny ninja heart.)

He definitely had some mood swings. XD But yeah, this new direction suits him perfectly!
Hehe, thank you!

Man you are so right, but his nurturing nature comes so naturally after all his other roles in past seasons! Just had to break my heart with that subscript huh 3
I feel like now it's Kai and Jay whose personalities are starting to melt away This is adorable!

Yeah, I love how it meshes with all of his past roles! Even wayyyyyyy back in the pilot episodes when Wu was hinting that Cole ran himself to exhaustion trying to plan everything so none of his teammates would get hurt.
You may have a point. XD I'm not panicking yet, though, I still saw some hints of the usual personalities back in 11. ^_^

I was thinking that! It fits with how he was blaming himself about the tea thing this season
True, maybe a lil' more screentime is all they need :'D

I think he's always been a protective father figure, Seasons 8-11 finally gave him that chance to shine.Ā

Yeah! One of the reasons I like this development is because it fits pretty well with all his previous personality variations. He used to be the team's leader, and he was selfless in a lot of ways during Seasons 4 and 5. Plus he's the earth master, and the earth nurtures plants and stuff!

Cole is best when he's got someone to take care of, it seems. (And him and the yeti thing, who's name I forget whoops, are totally adorable. ) I'm good with this development. ^_^

That first moment when the ads for Season 8 showed Cole would acquire a baby . . . no turning back for me. :3 I hope they keep it up in later seasons too. It would be awesome if he got a fixed personality of being nurturing--it would jive pretty well with every past variation on Cole's character, and the fact that he was leader back when the team was young, and the fact that he's Master of Earth. Earth is a nurturing element.

Yeah, that would be great. I wouldn't mind that sticking around at all. ^_^
