I know monk2 was selected for the DD but I actually like this one better

This stance in conjunction with the background is sooooo much more majestic. You haven't gone overboard with details that really makes the piece so much warmer. I love it

As ommony pointed out I used a reference for this piece. I usually do.
I thought it was obvious in this case, but I should have mentioned it.
Just for the record: in every portrait i have in my gallery I´ve used a reference to.

Lovely work. You ought to mention when you use a reference for a piece, though, it's just etiquette. I've seen the photo you used for a reference -- in fact, I've used it as a reference myself. Haha. Was part of a "draw the shaolin monks" thread in some forum.
