zenescope comics did a comic about alice in wonderland where her daughter goes to wonderland and see's its true form maybe you could do a comic about someone els going to mushroom kingdom and seeing its true form lol

Wow. "Realistic" interpretations of stylized creatures and characters often turn out looking a little TOO reinterpreted, but you've somehow made the Goomba a completely believable, natural-looking creature without actually changing much of anything about it.
