yeah, i know it's not the most orgional of concepts. (by that i mean drawing the comparison between DMs and God.) but noone ever says to the figure artist painting a reclining nude that it's been done before. and the same goes for other areas of the fine arts. so why should comics, which sadly arn't always granted the same level of respect as the "fine arts" be held to a higher standard of originality? now i'm not saying we cartoonists should just copy each-other. no. i'm saying there are certain themes in humor that are much like certain themes in fine arts. everyone should be allowed to explore the themes in their own particular ways without being labeled as unoriginal or a copycat.Related content

I mean absolutely no offense, but while I understand that certain stories give the impression of a completely humorless God (re: Sodom and Gomorrah, or Egypt and its plagues for that matter), there are definitely some stories that show Him with a sense of humor.
