This was an interesting one to work on! I did this as a gift for a friend, as Revan is one of their favourite characters, but unfortunately I've never played Knights of the Old Republic, so it required a fair amount of research. There was the usual sort of stuff I do to try and get the outfit and accessories as accurate as possible, but I also had to try and figure out the sort of personality to put into the pose of the character, and I think that paid off here. I think the angle of the piece works well here, and the whole stance gives off a menacing, ominous mood that suggests he's about to strike. After looking at a whole host of screenshots, reference images, character models and action figures, I think I managed to include the correct details on his armour and clothing, and I think that the folds in the fabric around his cape, arms and hood have all ended up looking pretty good. Obviously I know that lightsabers don't give off any smoke, but I included those effects for a more metaphorical representation of seething anger than a literal one, and I think that adds a little something to the picture. As this is only the initial pencils, there's still a lot of the construction lines left in here, as well as places that will be covered in black, but have been left empty so far. So yeah, that's where this is in the pencil stage, but I'm liking how it is so far.
