I think I'm mostly pretty happy with how this one has turned out. The shadows on the yellow areas of the scanned picture aren't as obvious as on the original one, but otherwise I think it's worked fairly well. I'm pretty happy with how the skin tones have come out, though I could understand the argument that I should have done another pass at blending the shadows into the highlights. I avoided this because I didn't want to over work things, and I was happy enough with how things are currently. I used a few different shades of green for the trees in the background, and I think I managed to choose shades that looked similar enough to each other to not be distracting form the central figure yet still give the impression that there are distinct trees in there. I think the mountains have turned out really well; I mixed a pale pink, a warm grey and a cool grey to help create the rocky colour I was going for, and I think that the white spaces I left work well to create the impression of snowy areas. Things were a bit touch and go with the sky, as the pastel blue I was using as a base started to run out, and left some areas of uneven coverage. I went over the whole of the blue area with a light grey pen, as I always intended to, and it seems to have covered everything evenly, while giving the impression of a slightly overcast day. So yeah, a few hiccups as always, but on the whole it seems to have turned out nicely.
