Hey thanks. I use copic markers, which are expensive, but at the same time they are refillable, so it balances out. Copics don't absorb instantly so you have a bit of time to push the ink around a bit. But as far as avoiding streaks, use circles. Hope this helps...Let me know i'd like to see our progress.

I use Faber-Castell PITT pens , I understand they a very similar to Copics ( around the same cost ! ) I have heard of the circle method but found it made the marker to dark , I probably need to practice more ! thanks alot for the advice

Are your pitt pens chisel tips or brush tips? The copics have both and they are almost exactly the same color as the cap. The brush tip is what I use. You color everything the highlight color then proceed to use your mid tone then you finish it off with your shadow. I think the copics cost more but you only buy them once, you keep buying the refills, which will fill each marker aout 10 times. Thats where you see actuall money saved. Also the copics are totally blendable even after they are dry. I sound like an infomertial, but I do love my copics. If you like check out OOzak.com, they carry the biggest copic selection online, and if you buy anything from them register with them because they give you an extra discount.

Brush tips. I think they are a little cheaper than the Copics (£3 each -$6) I was swung by a review on youtube . I've never been great with colour ..need to keep practicing
