Superb.
The style is not something you see a lot and you've done it really well. The man's pose and overall look is perfect. The way Death is sort of part of the cold darkness in the background and the way that background relates to the rest of the work is perfect. The little details. The texture. The face.Β Seriously, just damn awesome.
I'm not super keen on Death looking at the viewer as he/she/it appears to be. I think of the hood was down more, as if it was looking at the homeless man, it'd be even better. That's the one cent I'd throw in as opinion. Love the work <3

Does the newspaper that the figure of death is giving (or removing?) Β represent the figure of death giving the homeless man pity (or moving away the trash around him)? Warmth maybe? A possibly final gesture to save the man's life, or does it mean that the presence of death will-figuratively- eventually take him away?
It's a great piece, but perhaps I'm over analyzing the intended meaningΒ

I think he's covering the man's body - as we usually do after a person died. He came for the man's life/soul and will take that, but leave the body in this world. And if you read the what the newspaper says, the text completes the image.
But it's only my interpretation, of course.

This is a very interesting take on the classic look death is given. I love how it fits with the winter theme and the general image, as it gives a sad amd misty impression.
