Barbara has always loved the Barbie doll. She loved the fact that the doll had the same name as her and that her face was of a similar shape. Her family supported her, thinking it was a harmless infatuation. They dyed her hair and bought her everything in pink. She focused on fitness and got several plastic surgeries over time to enhance her breasts and hips to make her body more like the doll. Her makeup was always heavy and doll-like. When a neighbor moved in that went by Skipper, she brought her into the fold. Eventually, she even got a shaman to shrink Skipper to the size of a toy. She had to keep her restrained and naked to prevent her from escaping. Barbie would often sit her ex-friend, now property, in her first Barbie doll chair although the pink had faded and the white paint yellowed.

Steeled determination, she found a beloved friend who had a young daughter whom she trusted to take care of her and Skipper. With that in place, she set a date with the shaman to herself be reduced to the size of a doll. Before this could happen, her dream came to be another way. A coworker name Shon had learned of Barbie's plan and decided that he would keep her instead. Buying a shrink ray, he reduced her entire apartment, ripped off the roof, and took possession of Barbie. He also collected many of her Barbie related effects for her new dollhouse. That included her very life-like Skipper doll, now approximately 1 inch tall.

Once alone, Skipper railed at her former friend, but Barbie sat still. Regardless of the fact that she did not plan it this way, she was now a Barbie doll, for play and enjoyment. Nothing was going to prevent her from fulfilling this task.
