Tourists come and tourists go from my little island. It was as predictable as the tides. Just like the waves don’t care what they destroy, the human wave didn’t care about its toll either.

When we gazed upon the latest lot to come upon our shores, everyone’s neck hurt pleasantly looking into the eyes of this gentle beauty. She was quite the sight. However when all the vultures descended with their wares at her, I called to her. She needed room to breathe, so I took them to a quiet beach so they could relax.

Part of the reason it was quiet was the Cave of Swapped Destinies. Some say magic spirits lived there. Tales as old as time existed of old men walking in and walking out as young, and paupers leaving as princes. But after a few tourists broke arms slipping in the cave, it was decided best they did not go in and it was roped off.

As I rested against a palm tree, my giantess charge decided the rule was not for her. I called after her but it was too late. By the time I reached the cave myself it’s magic had taken affect - the once towering woman was now as tall as my fingers.

Her friends ran in horror at what occurred. I felt sorry for the now tiny creature. After kissing the top of her head, I lowered her into my pocket and gave her a single grape to eat. I told her that I would take her to the village mystic as soon as I could, but that she was on vacation herself and would be back in a month. In the meantime, that I would give for her a home.
