Time was running short for Lucy’s biochemistry masters thesis project. She was studying the affects of pheromones on incarcerated individuals. Since the ethics board and the local jail refused to allow her to use real inmates, and she didn’t have a good computer model, she enlisted her friends to be Guinea pigs. Besides it gave her a chance to pull out her old high school science fair project - a matter condenser. With just a blast of laughing gas, they were more than happy to be placed in her sample cups for testing.
