Tinker is from the Maximo Series (Specifically Maximo Vs. The Army of Zin for the PS2, which is the second game in the series, after Maximo: Ghosts to Glory) which derives a lot from the Ghouls and Ghosts Series, this includes the hit point system and visuals (except its more a health bar than a single hit) so whenever she loses so much health, her armour falls off, much like the main protag, Maximo.
