i think magikarp is actually the pokemon with the highest level that you can catch in the wild i think, lemme check bulbapedia

I haven't watched the show in a long time, just kept up with the games, but apparently there was an episode with an extremely badass magikarp beating pikachu around, I'll have to find out which one that was sometime.
