Chapter Master Kayvaan Shrike leads a squad of primaris on a mission in the ruins of a city.

I think it is apparent that I have fun while doing 40k art.

Some back end info then on the piece.

This originally started off as a test to see if my work would benefit from being in 16bit colour as opposed to 8bit.

It wasn't worth it. The added size to the final and the slower save times really cut into the flow of painting the image. (I am a chronic saver)

This was also a test to see if my setup could handle painting at higher resolutions. It can! So perhaps way more Hi-Res images will be coming down the pipe in the future.

Also with all the layers named and ordered correctly, I am contemplating making a narrated video walking people through how the image is constructed. (No promises though, I am a deathly afraid of trying new things :'D)
