The Biblioteca Comunale dell'Archiginnasio is one of the most important municipal libraries in Italy. The Library holds a huge collection of old manuscripts, early printed books, pamphlets, maps etc. It is in the same building as the Anatomical Theatre, see

Thank you. Apparently Napoleon had a purge of religious intitutions after he invaded northern Italy and the books from the closed ones ended up here, giving them a fantastic collection.

Unfortunately the public are not allowed past the door you can just see on the far right, so you don't get to touch the books.
