Description
Just another little doodle from one of my many train journeys. Vinyl Scratch is best train robber.
Random Fact: Contrary to popular belief, the original Great Train Robbery actually took place in England, not America. It was later adapted into a film starring Sean Connery. No doubt Health and Safety would have brown trousers seeing him walking along the carriage roofs with nothing but rubber soled shoes and a sandpaper roof covering to protect him! XD
Then of course there's the other Great Train Robbery, which again happened in England during 1963, where a mail train was robbed of mail sacks containing roughly Β£43 Million pounds in today's money.
The more you know, eh?

Chances are, even if she does, Vinyl will find a way to get it aboard.......somehow....

actually, there is a great train robbery that took place in the states in 1903, but there was also a famous one in 1963 of the royal mail.

Oh, I know there was, I was just pointing out that it wasn't the first. The first happened during the Crimean War.

actually no thats the film in 1903...there were a number of train robberies back in the late 19th century of various trains with big amounts of money.

"Stick 'em up and lead me into the mail car."
Though, gotta give props for Vinyl for doing a train robbery almost exactly like it did in real life. Contrary to what you see in the movies, train robbers NEVER jumped on a moving train from their galloping horses in the 19th century.

Indeed they didn't. The whole idea just sounds crazy on paper.

Vinyl if you promise to behave and sit down I'll buy you ice cream.
That would be crazy to jump on a train from a horse. They could get hurt.

Not only that, but the people on board the train would've noticed and would've shot the robbers before they even had a chance to climb on the moving train.

Since the meaning of 'Shot Gun' comes from the second rider having a shot gun with them to protect them from attackers. These bandits would be in serious trouble if they tried to rob a train on the horse.
