Description
Just another little doodle from one of my many train journeys. Vinyl Scratch is best train robber.
Random Fact: Contrary to popular belief, the original Great Train Robbery actually took place in England, not America. It was later adapted into a film starring Sean Connery. No doubt Health and Safety would have brown trousers seeing him walking along the carriage roofs with nothing but rubber soled shoes and a sandpaper roof covering to protect him! XD
Then of course there's the other Great Train Robbery, which again happened in England during 1963, where a mail train was robbed of mail sacks containing roughly Β£43 Million pounds in today's money.
The more you know, eh?
MLP:FiM owned by Hasbro.

Vinyl: This is a stick up!
Octavia: Vinyl, this is retarded. You're going to get us kicked off the train.
Ticket stallion: Is she going to do anything crazy?
Octavia: Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on her.

She's probably a better bandit than those in Skyrim. Mainly because she understands the goal is not to do a suicide rush withΒ a steel daggerΒ at the guy in full daedric.

I've had this little headcanon circling around my head that Vinyl's accent is actually English, not American. Β Not high English, mind you, but a sort of cockney-esque accent.
Since I'm Australian I'm not entirely sure on the accents of different areas in England

Got to entertain yourself somehow on trains. Personally after I'm done reading nearby adverts I stare at people to see how long it takes for them to react to it.

Most people I meet doing it are either creeped out an try to ignore me (mission accomplished), do it right back or are so obnoxious they continue to disrupt other people. Like the people who play there music out loud in public, ugh. You have headphones. Use them.

Given that Octavia's Mother has taken to stuffing Vinyl full of cake, I on't think she'd see that as a bad thing.

Vinyl: You don't scare me.
Tavi: I call mother...
Vinyl: to bring the baby clothes.
Tavi: You wouldn't.
Vinyl: And the stroller.

Of course lots of good were carried on trains back then, but what does Vinyl have to gain from robbing a passenger carriage these days, maybe some spare change, subwoofers? Β I suppose this is the kind of inspiration that comes from many commutes by rail. Β

correct me if im wrong but didn't the head of the operation break out of prison with a super elaboret plan and spent most of the rest of his life in cuba?
π: 0 β©: 1
bobthedalek In reply to CircuitBreakerdraws [2014-02-09 22:26:11 +0000 UTC]
You're thinking of Ronnie Biggs, who escaped from prison with two other inmates when a ladder was thrown over the prison wall from a friend who had a getaway van parked on the other side. Β
The mastermind behind the operation was Bruce Reynolds (Though there was a figure known as 'The Ulsterman' who allegedly organised everything. He was never tracked down) Whilst Reynolds did spend some time in Cuba with fellow fugitive Buster Edwards, he eventually returned to England with his wife and child before being arrested some time later.Β
