Description
"Darling, you do realise this has all been paid for out of my wallet?"
I don't know why, but I get the distinct feeling Octadad is trying to make up for something he no doubt did wrong. XD
---
So, I spent part of my Christmas break improving my geography of Manchester a bit. Apart from walking through some of Deansgate to the science museum there I hardly go there at all, which meant that every time I had to meet a lecturer there for a University outing, I had to arrange for one of my classmates to pick me up from the station to stop me from getting lost! XD
Now however, I can successfully navigate my way from Piccadilly station to the main high street quite easily. Sure, to those of you from Manchester that's hardly anything, but hey, it's a big step up from the fact I had no sense of direction.
And now this is where I'm going to put on food critic hat and make a small lunch recommendation for Manchester city centre. DON'T go the Yo Sushi in the Arndale Centre, go out of your way and go to the one in Piccadilly station. Not only is it better organised, but the staff have a far more acceptable take on customer service as well. I'm not even going to go into how attrocious the Arndale branch was when I went in.

As an American, I can't even imagine how difficult it must be to navigate a city with centuries of architects and street planners (or the absence of?) adding their touches to the cityscape.Β

It's difficult for me, it'd probably drive you to the point of insanity.

Quite possible. But, now that I think about it, I did used to live in Seoul Korea. And that's probably very similar.Β

Chances are, given his size, that he'd probably struggle with that as well.

Why do I get the feeling that Octadad is starting to suffer from the same crap that Spike has always had to deal with. Β Also, I'm going on a limb and saying he didn't say the right thing when Octamum asked him if she looked fat in some particular getup.

January sales are a nightmare for someone like me who hates shopping for anything that isn't a game. I remember seeing shops where you had to queue to just get into the shop, which was awful.
Also I get lost often, I remember first day of college I tried to walk up but made a wrong turn without realising it, and knowing that after that turn I just had to go straight, I just kept going. Walked for 45 minutes before the pavement vanished entirely and I realised something was wrong.
