Yes, yes I did originally plan to have Sunburst stuffed in the closet in a humorous way, but this was funnier and a bit less predictable!
As a side note, references for pony skeletons are really hard to come by, I ended up having to base it on Rainbow Dash being shocked by lightning from 'Newbie Dash'.

Which is exactly what you'd expect Sunburst's skull to do if you cleaned off all the flesh including ligaments.

It's a common misconception that a unicorn's horn is a part of their skull. In actuality the horn is composed primarily of keratin, and contains only a small bone core which is removed from the skull by around two centimeters in an average unicorn. Once you clean off all the flesh, the horn falls right off even if you don't decompose the keratin. It's surprisingly easy to lose it at that point.

On a side note, I don't know how "skeleton in a closet" is less predictable. It's a common idiom. Sunburst or Trixie in the closet would actually be less predictable and definitely funnier but eh...

It appears my search terms were possibly a little too refined! But then again, I was only searching for screen caps from the show itself. Thanks for the reference links though, on the very slim chance I have to draw a pony skeleton again in the future they'll certainly come in handy.
I know "skeleton in the closet" is a common idiom, but it's certainly less common to me art-wise than drawing Sunburst or Trixie bursting in on Starlight in an awkward moment. However, that being said, it was too good to turn down:

Because let's be honest people out of Big Bang theories cast which one is obviously Penny. After all, we all know that starlight is Bernadette, right down to the homicidal tendencies and being short.(And then dictated and plotting and cruel and all my God, that means sunburst is Howard! Also, somehow I made all the twilight and Trixie Schippers happy.)
