The changing of the clocks brings with it one of my biggest fears. I don't like the fact that a majority of my devices change automatically (Even mores when I set an alarm for the morning!) I still have a couple of analogue clocks with me, just to make sure they HAVE changed!

Mercifully, I've never made this mistake!

Something that originated during (WW2) if my memory is right. Essentially, by moving time backwards/forwards an hour with the change of seasons, it allowed farmers more daylight hours to work in at reasonable times.
