Description
So, whilst travelling on the train from Greater Manchester to North Wales last Saturday (4 1/2 hour journey for those who don't know) I ended up listening to the entire first series of "The Vinyl Scratch Tapes". It's a great series, for those of you who haven't listened to it check out the first episode here: [link]So this comic strip is based on one of my favourite scenes from the series. It's the scene where Octavia uses a telephone for the first time in episode three "The Call in Show". Hilarity follows. This one scene alone managed to make me cry with laughter and that's saying something since no comedy series has ever managed to make me do that before!
A couple of the lines, such as Octavia's "Stop Laughing" line were shortened down quite a bit to fit inside the comic panels, bearing in mind that in reality this comic is only the size of an A5 piece of paper! Also, whilst i'm fairly certain in the show Vinyl is supposed to be wearing her trademark glasses, I left them off so I could use her eyes to express her emotions more.

Well actually in this series the whole shipping thing is joked about quite a bit, but it's never actually said that this version of Vinyl and Octavia have anything going on between them except for being friends. And I quite like that.

No, thankyou. I'd much rather you be "that guy". Truth be told, I've already had to change one or two words in this since I didn't get the dialogue correct from memory, so one more little change is nothing.

Yes! There needs to be more fan art of the series! I love this series, and wish there would be more written...but I suppose two "seasons" is quite a bit, already, especially considering as far as voice acting goes, they just got done voicing the first season.

I was also quite surprised to find so little artwork to do with the series. I must admit, at first I wasn't to keen on the voice actors in the series (I blame to many viewings of 'Epic Wub Time' personally!) but now I can honestley say that the series wouldn't be the same without them, they're brilliant!
Also, having read through the scripts for the first two episodes of the second season, when they get round to producing it it'll definatley bring it more out into the open in the fandom.
