Alongside a certain game series called Worms, I've also been a huge fan of Animal Crossing. And the release of New Horizons was just the kicker for this picture. Coincidentally, New Horizons came out on the same day as Doom Eternal, which could explain those weird crossovers that fans have been making. Anyway, if you don't know how Animal Crossing works, its basically a life simulation where you can fish, catch bugs, dig fossils, buy stuff and make friends with other villagers. Also, in the previous games, you can listen to villagers' conversations. Some may have happy endings, but some others can lead to disaster. One conversation may leave both villagers angry or sad, or it could leave one feeling pissed off and one down in the dumps. That's the case for what you see in this pic.

In Animal Crossing, villagers are split into 8 personalities: the grouchy Cranky villagers, the athletic Jock villagers, the mellow Lazy villagers, the polite Smug villagers, the perky Peppy villagers, the even-minded Normal villagers, the sassy Snooty villagers and the sisterly Uchi villagers. Stop Sign is Cranky, Trophy is a Jock, Fan is Lazy, Tennis Ball is Smug, Skittle is Peppy, Yarn is a Normal, Umbrella is Snooty and Liy is an Uchi. I often compare AC personalities with those of Object Show characters, such as comparing Cranky villagers with male jerks like Knife and Snowball and Normal villagers with nice girls like Leafy and Lightbulb. )

Tennis Ball and Skittle are the only ones filled with joy in this picture. Here's what the others might say if you tried to talk to them:

Stop Sign: "Shut up! Does it look like I'm in the mood to chat, chucklehead?!"

Fan: "Just leave me for a bit. I feel like a piece of gum that somebody stepped on."

Liy: "Even a girl like me can feel blue sometimes. Sorry, but could we talk later?"

Yarn: "I'm sorry, but seeing you isn't cheering me up at all."

Trophy: "Rage... burning... inside me... GRRRRRRR!!"

Umbrella: "Why is everyone in this town a bunch of idiots?!"
