Well I had them at our local brony meetup and I'll probably make something similar again.
If you're ever in Albuquerque, I'll make sure you get one

Thanks!Β They were alot of fun to make and people seemed to enjoy them.Β But they are way too much cookie to really be eaten at one (since each is 3 thick).
If I ever make them again (and I won't) I'll get a mini cookie cutter.Β But it'll make the cutie marks harder to frost.

Were they filled with anything or solid? If you ever do make them again totes post them! Mini ones would be adorable.

Solid, cause I couldn't think of anything clever to fill them with.
However, each one was flavored differently to match their personalities (and to match the flavorings I happened to have in the cupboard).
AJ was anise, RD was coconut, PP was strawberry cotton candy, FS was lemon, R was mint, and TS was "princess baking emulsion".

Anise is may favorite. Β So is AJ. Β I thought she needed something not-too-sweet.

Like most of my cooking, the recipe wasn't originally mine but it ended up being a hodgepodge of different recipes.
The dough was mostly the rolled white cookie recipe I found here: allrecipes.com/recipe/rolled-wβ¦
With coloring and flavorings added in.Β I also used 3 egg whites instead of 2 eggs for rarity and rainbow dash to keep colors pure.
The cookies were constructed like the internet-famous pinata cookies: www.sheknows.com/food-and-reciβ¦
Except that I just rolled out the dough instead of packing it in a tupperware and slicing it.Β And I didn't make them hollow.Β And I used the cut off legs from the middle cookies as wings and horns.
They were glued together with a simple water/powdered sugar icing (found in the pinata cookies instructions) but I frosted them with tubs of store-bought frosting that I added coloring to because I was short on time and my buttercream frosting doesn't always turn out very good.
I hope that helps!Β They were alot of fun to decorate and people loved them!
