I think, after all Sasuke's been through, this sort of simple, quiet intimacy is something he'd desperately need....Some pictures just BEG to be finished, and I drop everything else until they're completed. This is one of them. I've had this idea wandering around in my head for a good while, and once I started sketching it, I knew it was a keeper.

Revisiting this after a few months only reconfirms my original opinion of this picture. I can almost feel a weight being lifted from my chest just knowing that Sasuke is safe in Naruto's arms now. I definitely agree with both you and AcrylicHeart in that Sasuke is finally able to drop his guard, lower those emotional barriers, and just let go of what's been pent up inside of him for pretty much his whole life. There is no need for words between them at a time like this. Just them being reunited, never to be separated again, well that's all they need.

That's really nice to hear! Truth is, I'm probably not too recognized yet as an artist 'cause I haven't been doing digital art for very long, and also because I was super inconsistent with art blogs in the past. I'm still kind of a newbie to all this. I'm hoping though, now that I'm putting a lot of time and hard work into my art, more people will see and enjoy what I draw. ^^

Well, ya know, the first time I tried out digital art, I was the WORST at it. Like. I tried to draw people and they were flesh-colored blobs. XD (Which is why I haven't been doing it for very long--I tried drawing a few pictures like ten years ago and then gave up on it, which was a bad decision, I now realize. x_x It makes me wince, thinking about how amazing at digital art I'd probably be by now, if I hadn't given up so quickly all those years ago!) Thankfully, I kept doing traditional art during that time, and the experience I got from that made digital art a lot easier to pick up this time around.
So don't worry! As long as you keep writing and drawing, you'll improve. ^^ The process of improvement can be frustrating, though, when meanwhile there's so much great art out there to compare one's own art with, you know? ~sigh~ I stare longingly at a lot of digitally painted art, myself... using color in pictures is NOT a strong point of mine yet and I really really want to be good at it...

If anyone is going through a rough time, like Sasuke is right now, then all they want is for someone to be there for them. Just to know that they have a good friend and a shoulder to cry on is sometimes all it takes.
And for Sasuke, just having Naruto to be there for him means the world. He looks broken down and exhausted from all the shit he's had to go through in his life. And Naruto seems so relieved that he's finally in safe arms.
This is almost an exact depiction of one of my good friends and I earlier today. He's going through a rough time and I just let him cry on my shoulder today and almost immediately after he felt so much better.
It looks like they are both hiding feelings for each other, but are completely comfortable just sitting together in silence. Like two very close friends or lovers.

I love it! It's sad, sweet, loving, hateful... just every emotion wrapped up into one. Like there's so much going on in Sasuke's mind right now that he doesn't know what to do.
Naruto feels more than just relief. It's happiness, pure joy, relaxation, and that kind of love that only two best friends have. And that's exactly what they are. They are two friends reconnecting and recovering together. I wouldn't doubt it if Sasuke moves in with Naruto. Just so they don't have to be alone anymore.

Oh god this is gorgeous. Poor baby looks like he's so lost as to what to do, with Naruto so sweetly smiling behind him... I can see him being very apathetic and refusing to show his emotions at first until Naruto keeps staying so sweet and so loving and finally Sasuke just breaks down and sobs harder than he's ever sobbed... ;A;

Yes! I like the idea that in this picture, Sasuke is finding he feels more safe than he's felt in many years, and that he's actually able to lower his emotional defenses and relax... and that like you say, it allows him to release a flood of pent-up emotions. He breaks down crying, overwhelmed by years of sadness and frustration; but at the same time, he's also crying tears of happiness, relieved that he's out of those bad situations and finally somewhere he's cared for. uwu
