Description
"Considered to be the most dangerous herbivorous animal on the planet, the chakootoa is an ill-tempered beast that will attack for no reason at all."
this piece has been a long time in the making, but I'm glad that we took our time with it and didn't rush it.
this fantastic beast belongs to the wonderful drivernjax
thank you for your patience and for working with me with all of the revisions! hopefully this big baddie is close to what you envisioned for you beastie.
per a friend's (I'M LOOKING AT YOU Ekatii I decided to reference takin (which are seriously precious) for the fur length.
also tried a few different things with rendering and I'm extremely happy with how he turned out!

You've got no complaints from me. While I didn't envision the fur being quite this long, I think it adds a distinctive character to the Chakootoa. Plus, when we started this drawing there weren't any drawings of two of the biggest predators of the Chakootoa, the Mory
and the Kootona
both of which have extra long canines which would be necessary to penetrate the extra-long fur of the Kootona.
The revisions were, if you will recall, mostly based on the feasibility of different aspects I had originally intended for the Chakootoa to have and tweaking the aspects that we decided to go with. So, I've got no complaints about anything that we did to make sure the Chakootoa looks exactly as I envisioned it. Thanks again for doing this drawing and I look forward to possibly working with you again in the future.
Just a little bit of info about the Chakootoa, even though it looks a lot like the Cebu of earth, it isn't a herd animal. It's sheer size, 3+ meters (10 feet) at the shoulder hump, makes it a formidable prey animal. This explains the size of the Kootona, 150 cm (5 feet) at the shoulder and 182 cm (6 feet) at the crown of the head. As a matter of fact, most of the prey animals on Tashoo (the home world of these animals) are overly large ranging from 180 cm to 300 cm tall.

Wonderful, I'm glad you like it! The original description mentioned the fur being half the length of a musk ox, so I tried to aim for around that. c:
I'm happy that the chakootoa looks like how you imagined; that was my primary focus throughout the process. It was my pleasure! I would be more than happy to collaborate with you on projects in the future. (: My commission site is still a WIP, but I can always be reached by note or email!

Thanks. Now that you mention it, I do remember the description of the length of the fur. I guess I inadvertently considered the length of the canines of the Mory and the Akootona (plural of Kootona) when I described it. LOL.
I'll most definitely keep you in mind. I like your style with ferals. I've got several animals from Tashoo that I'd love to see drawn. You'll definitely hear from me again.
