Welcome to Butterflies Not included, after five years in development, hopefully it will have been worth the wait.

You read that right, five years of development, with the first iteration of the TL ever being lost to time and space (and a long lost/deactivated DeviantArt stash). Originally I was going to wait to actually finish to upload the entire map, but I've decided to take a new approach: procedural updates, starting with the Italian peninsula, and intending to add the rest as I go along. It also means I can say I published this before 2022.

update 24/8/2021 - iberia added, text box design updated
update 25/8/2021 - added greek states in europe and western anatolia
update 26/8/2021 - added india, did some text reformatting
update 27/8/2021 - further india reformatting (work on the main map is being done around this time, too. also, PDN's text tool is awful)
update 28/8/2021 - minor adjustments to isbaniya due to city locations not quite cooperating
update 2/9/2021 - isbaniya's north african holdings added, some seas and oceans coloured in
update 4/9/2021 - kilwa added
update 10/9/2021 - sweden and norway added, baltic sea filled, more ocean coloured in
update 7/11/2021 - full ocean and coastline layer added, partial reformatting, burgundy update - updated again to accomodate for formatting mistake
update 15/11/2021 - added tibet, the romanian principalities, britain, ireland, iran, and borders in some areas
update 16/11/2021 - china and much of northeastern asia added, central asia correctly filled in (as well as afghanistan and baluchistan), various annotation lists added
update 13/1/2022 - official end of all updates.
