Description I'm currently playing around on my own Mandelbrot rendering program (at least when I have the time to do so) and tried some new gradient function yesterday, from which the sight of this marvellous part of the Mandelbrot set resulted - I thought it was worth being shared with you

Is that my screen or did you make it so pixelated (does that word even exist?) on purpose ... or by accident?
Aaaanyyway ... I guess it's time for my "lame weird interpretations" again. But I'm quite having some difficulties with finding my way into it. "Sun" ist way too obvious and even hidden somewhere within your title. It also has somewhat too many arms for a starfish ... although that bright red stuff makes pretty good seaweed. Well, okay ... it's a mutant starfish. ^^

well, the pixelation exists, because the resolution you see is the resolution it's been rendered at (~1024x768Px), which is still quite a little "edgy" in details. Furthermore, this image is taken not long before the double precision (the numeric precision of all these values - they're rational ones, usually) runs out - two zoom steps later I had a REALLY pixelated view - might also be a reason why a little pixelation is already seen in this part of the Mandelbrot set.
Ah, by the way: where the heck did you find a "sun" reference in the title? Anyway, I'm also fine with the starfish

Well, the "set" ... "sun-set" ... I thought that was the meaning behind the title. Doesn't matter ... I prefer the starfish anyway, it's more creative.
