Aw, i'm glad that you got to see it then! I actually have *Esava to thank for helping me name Oihana, but it introduced me to the lovely laguage and when designing her cub i wanted to keep that feel, Odei seemed like a good choice... correct me if i'm wrong but from what I read it doesn't just mean storm cloud... but the spirit/personification of a storm cloud right? That's something I like about Basque.. we don't have words like that in English

Odei is such a beatiful name and it matches your character so well yeah, you are right, he was some kind of a god that had the shape of a cloud and used to bring lightnings and hail wherever he went. Some legends say he was the shape that the god of the sky (the supreme god) took when he was angered. Basically he is the storm. That's why in basque "hodei" means cloud. Actually, I know a guy called Odei and a very good friend of mine is called Aiora. Also, an old friend of mine was called Oihana hahaha

yeah, that's the special thing about Basque. It is the oldest language in Europe, even older than latin, and that's why it doesn't resemble any other language in the world. But that's also a disadvantage because it's such a difficult language to learn! it's sooo different from anything I know! but I kinda feel proud of speaking it heheh

Haha! Thanks for that elaboration.. I was never 100% sure because most of the sights aren't very well translated, but it makes me like the name even more XD The oldest ! I didn't know that either... yeah it's one to be proud of, i'd love to be able to fluently speak another language
