imstupid this is stupid, this is unoriginal and stupid and i suck at making characters stupid this is stupid. ok.i was thinking aboot the lack of female characters in TF2 and so i wanted to make one. so i tried to think of a class that wouldnt be a copy character. i thought about poison gas, but that was too much like pyro; a hand-to-hand non shooting weapon character, but that wouldnt be very practical in-game; so i thought a defending class might work. SO I GAVE THEM A METAL UMBRELLA YEAH IM RETARDED.
sooo, to make this a bit less stupid (but not really), she would be a fast character and she would hold it in front like a shield and block rockets and shit...i guess the top would have a spike or something, she needs some offensive points. for firing, she flips it around and holds it under her arm to use a shotgun or something close ranged, while the shield protects her back (im saying shield cuz umbrella just sounds fuckin stupid). uhhh i guess she could lay spikes or some sort of defensive trap too as an alt weapon thing. she needs more alt weapon.
UNORIGINAL POINTS: EVERYTHING. after i drew this i realized its just soldier with boobs and elbow pads. im so cool.
"Defense" and "Defender" just sounded stupid, but i guess Cover isnt much better either.
i might change the uniform a bit and finish this though- this is just a wip
ps: putting shit in the manga & anime section is just degrading...sigh
pps: i will add umbrellas to the list of things ill never be able to draw.

I have another sketch in my mind, more on the surface of the weapon and how the plates or armour will go. I may do the next one in the style of tf but I doubt it lol

As they are a defensive type they should have a one shot scattergun in the tip of the umbrella (like the Penguin from Batman) as part of their deterrent, something that obscures vision for people and sentries, and the melee should be to beat people with their umbrella D= I think that'd make for an interesting class but I'm rambling and didn't get much sleep for a while. mw2 came out D=

yeah, i thought about that too but that would be extra unoriginal and maybe too cheap- itd be like having an invincible from the front. maybe the gun in the umbrella could be crappy, to keep it fair. and yeah, i was thinking it would be a perfect class for rushing sentries and stuff. using the umbrella as a mele would be cool too. haha, awesome. i heard people are already starting to boycott it on pc

What if the umbrella snaps closed after a certain amount of damage and she had to retreat to get it so it could re-open? Or have the sections of it degrade? That way it can still function as her melee weapon. Also the shotgun in the tip could be a one shot scatter gun not unlike the scout.

ooh thats a great idea, like the umbrella can only take a certain amount of damage, and you gotta "reload" it after a while.
